This is the last house I have done. First steps can be found HERE. I'm recording a video so you can watch the whole process on a new house.
Raw house
After painting it I covered the front with this Tim Holtz tissue
I started to decorate the house using Prima wood doors again, resin elements painted with Inka Viva Gold, a wax seal and some metal accents. I also used a clay embellishment I did a while ago (on the top of the door)
For the final step I just added the metal number with brads
I've been working on several projects lately and one of them are these little wooden houses. I don't know why I love houses so much and altering these has been so much fun!
I'll be publishing photo tutorials on how I did each one in the next days and I'm planning to make a video too.
Here is a photo of the first six I have done, hope you like them!
I took an online class called "Layer by Layer" where I learned this technique. Suzi Dennis also shows how to do it in her YouTube channel.
I don't know how to call these papers made out of Deli paper, wax paper, tissue paper, painted paper towel ,old book pages, Gelli prints and almost anything you want but the final result is like plastic or sort of a leathery skin. I think I will use this one to cover a junk journal I did last week.
In this example I layered different papers over Deli paper, wax paper and tissue paper covering everything with Mod Podge between layers.
I was having so much fun with my Gelli Plate but suddenly I realized I had so many papers on my workspace that I decided to make this collage. I mounted everything on a watercolor heavy weight paper.
I started with two pages and glued pieces to cover the whole surface
Then started adding small pieces to my collage
Here I used a stencil with white paint
I stamped with black ink using several stamps
With a black marker I scribbled randomly
To complete my work I used pieces of Tim Holtz's tissue paper
This time I wanted to do something about my family and me.
As many of you know, I was born and raised in Chile. My father came here escaping from the World War II, he was Romanian and my mother's parents came from Poland. At that time seems South America was like the actual "American Dream" for people who was scared about their future in Europe.
In this spread, I wanted to represent both worlds (Europe and South America) pointing the Countries and making marks on the journey my ancestors had to go across.
In this VIDEO, I will show you the process of making these pages.
About two months ago I received this wood pallet in my Creativity Add On from Scraps of Darknessand I was thinking what to do with it. I wanted a rusty effect so I tried this cool technique which you can watch on this VIDEO.
Today I'm sharing a project with a video tutorial I did with Scraps of Darkness December's kit "Northern Lights". I also used their Creativity and Color Add Ons.
