Today I have made a collaged journal cover in a very free or messy style, no rules, not thinking too much, just letting it flow. The only thing I kept in mind was not using more than three colors and one or two neutrals. In this case I used Golden Sleigh Bells, Ocean Breeze Blue, Bells of Ireland Green and the neutral Café au Lait.
I want to thank my dear friend Lisa Novogrodski for giving me the idea of the masking tape.
I started by applying masking tape to a piece of freezer paper and painting it.
Using multiple papers and fabric pieces I begun my collage
I assembled the small pieces then sew everything together onto a cotton fabric

I can't believe it's almost November!!!! Yet another color challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang starts today, join us to win a $50 gift certificate!!!
Here is the new color palette, isn't it beautiful??
I did two cards using the fabulous new Beauty School Dropout- FLAT MAGICAL as if they were watercolors, I love the result!
The stamped image was embossed with the also new Obviously Black Embossing Powder which is plain black.
And finally I added Gag Me with a Spoon Gray Magical for the shading
Hi friends,
I'm always trying new products and techniques and this time I found a forgotten linseed (or flax seed) oil I had in my stash for years.
I prep some pages covering them with it and found out that the paper looks more transparent and in some cases like vellum. The colors I applied look substantially deeper with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays . I also noticed that the shimmer of the paint stays almost intact on the surface.

For this journal page I used one of the spectacular stencils by Patti Parrish

Hi all,
Today I'm sharing my take on the October's color palette for Lindy's Stamp Gang Color Challenge, isn't is a gorgeous one??
I started by tracing the central image adding texture around her with a stencil by Patti Parrish
To color the background I used Wild Honeysuckle Coral, Opal Sea Oats, Gag Me With A Spoon Gray and California Poppy Gold sprays. Using Distress Ink and this stencil I highlighted the woman figure
A Gelli Print and colored laces were used for her skirt and top and metal beads for the necklace and other accents
Hi paper lovers!
Believe it or not, I was sraying and embossing tags for this tutorial and they were so curled (I didn't want to wait) that decided to iron them. The ones with no embossing powder were flattened up with no problem at all. When I started with the emossed ones....oh no.....the embossing powder was transferred to the paper I placed over the tags to iron them.
Inmediatelly I Googled if someone had had the same issue. What a surprise!! I found videos with the "Batik" tecnique that I'm sharing with you today.
For the final touches I added the hanger, a few sequins and liquid pearls
This is a close up of the pattern paper I did
After ironing
Also added a few sequins, liquid pearls and the mini domino pieces to this tag

Hello my friends, a new Color Challenge is taking place at Lindy's Stamp Gang. These month's colors are really gorgeous!!!
I covered a piece of cardstock with sticky metal foil, embossed and gessoed it and then painted with Magicals. I have a video tutorial using this same technique but with alcohol inks
For this panel I used Bonjour Butter, Merci Beaucoup Mintis, Café au Lait, Mission Bells Brown, Steampunk Sepia, Time Travel Teal
I'm in a "watercolor" mood lately and this time I tried with Magicals, love the results!
I have done this technique before with Sprays as you can see in this video. I feel with both you can achieve the watery look but with Magicals you have more control; adding more pigment, you get a deep strong color, adding more water you get a softer color, it's up to you.
For this technique I used Gag Me with a Spoon Gray, Midnight Rendezvous, Golden Sleigh Bells, Summer Lovin' Sun and Gregarious Grey.
Yay, a new color challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang!!!! If you want to join, just follow the instructions on their blog.
I made two tags for this month's challenge. I used images by Nancy Baumiller ans Roben-Marie Smith
Here is how I did the background
I sprayed the tag with Curiouser Chartreuse
Using a stamp and Versamark ink I chose to emboss it with Venus Violet Blue
I added digital images
And a metal accent
Same process on this tag
I sprayed the tag with Afternoon Delight Denim
Then I used two embossing powders, Cosmic Pink Blue and Geranium Coral Blush
To embellish my tag I used digital images, painted cardboard and a metal accent as well
